Is this you?
We are not counting followers. A 600-person newsletter that lands beats a 60,000-follower account that scrolls past.

Writing
Blogs, magazines, newsletters and independent writers covering the web, WordPress or AI.

Talking
Podcasts, channels and streamers who would rather interview a person than describe one.

Gathering
Community groups, campus clubs and regional media who reach people we never do.
// publishing in Kannada, or any other Indian language, moves you up the list rather than down it

// what_we_ask
Three pieces, across the season
A working relationship, not a logo swap. You tell us what you plan to publish and roughly when.
01
Before the doors open
One piece telling your audience it is happening and why they should care, and a hand spreading the word on your social channels. Your format, your angle.
02
On the two days
Cover it the way you said you would. Live posts, photos, a thread, a podcast recorded on site.
03
After everyone goes home
A recap, a review, an interview with someone you met. The piece that outlives the weekend.

What you write stays yours. We do not read it first and we do not approve it.

// what_you_get
Our half of the deal

A pass, on us
One free pass per partner, both days, Contributor Day included.

Your name on the site
Your logo and a link on the Media Partners page.

One announcement post
We name the partners across our social channels. One post, with you in it.

News before it is public
Our announcements reach you before they go live, so you have time to write.

A seat at dinner
The networking dinner, with the speakers, sponsors and organizers.
// if we cannot do one of these for you, we will say so before you commit, not after
// and your audience
The other half is what your audience gets
A partnership that only swaps logos is not worth your time or ours. Four hundred people can be in the room. What we are actually after is the weekend being useful to everyone who cannot be.
There is a fair amount to pass on. The sessions are recorded and go up free on WordPress.tv afterwards. The attendee guides are public and free to read, ticket or no ticket: getting here, getting around, where to stay, and what Contributor Day actually involves. Contributor Day is built for people who have never contributed to anything before, and you do not need to write code to take part. If your coverage puts those in front of your readers, in your language and on your platform, that is worth more to us than a follower count.
So tell us what your audience gets out of this, not only what you plan to publish. That answer carries real weight when we choose.
// how_we_pick
What makes it easy to say yes
01
A plan with edges
Dates, formats, counts. “Two posts and some social” tells us nothing.
02
Recent work
Two links to things you published in the last few months. We read them.
03
The right room
Your audience overlaps ours: developers, designers, founders, students, the AI-curious.
04
Reach we do not have
Kannada and other Indian languages, campuses, communities outside the usual circles.
We read every application after the call closed, so one that arrived late was judged on exactly the same terms as one that arrived early.

// timeline
From here to the weekend
Every date that matters, so you can slot the coverage into your own calendar first.

You hear back
Everyone gets an answer by Monday, 31 August.
Partners go up on the site and are announced across our channels on Friday 4 September, which leaves a clear run at September, October and November before the camp itself on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November. The main event is at SJBHS on Museum Road, and the Contributor Day venue is announced closer to the date.

Questions, answered
No, and it is worth being clear. You do not pay us and we do not pay you. Sponsorship is a separate programme with its own tiers and budget, and it lives on the Call for Sponsors. Outlets do neither, one, or both.
No. We do not read drafts, we do not sign anything off, and a critical piece will not cost you the partnership. We only ask that you check facts with us rather than guess, and we will answer straight.
Yes. Tech, startup, design and campus media all reach people who belong in that room. This year’s theme is WordPress and AI, which is a much wider conversation than one CMS.
The partnership includes one pass, and we are keeping it to one per outlet. It is a 400-person event, and every seat we hold back is a seat an attendee cannot have. If a colleague wants to come along, they are very welcome to grab a ticket of their own.
No. WordCamp Bengaluru is volunteer-run and not-for-profit, and the budget does not stretch to travel or hotels for anyone, speakers included. What we do cover is the pass, the dinner and our time.
Applications closed on Monday, 24 August. Write to us anyway through the contact page. We announce partners on Friday 4 September, so later than that is tight, but a good plan arriving late is still a good plan.

Announced 4 September
Partners go up on this site on Friday, 4 September. They are announced across our channels the same day, which leaves a clear run at September, October and November before the camp itself.
Missed it? Write to us through the contact page. Later than 4 September is tight, but a good plan arriving late is still a good plan.
Two other calls are still open: the call for speakers until 14 September, and the call for sponsors until 15 October.
// by partnering you agree to our Code of Conduct.
A WordCamp is only as good as the story told about it afterwards. Thanks to everyone who put their hand up to tell it.
