The WordCamp Bengaluru 2024 Organizing Team is pleased to announce a hands-on workshop by Bigul Malayi<\/a> and Swetha B Chandran<\/a> who will be presenting a workshop on “Getting familiar with WordPress Hooks”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bigul Malayi<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Bigul hailed from Kerala, India. He has been working with WordPress since 2008. From January 2012 onwards, he has been working at OnTheGo Systems(the makers of WPML & Toolset) as a QA and Support Analyst. He credits WordPress as his bread & butter and is active as a co-organizer of the WordPress Kerala community and Polyglot & Photos contributor. He has been part of several WordCamps as an organizer, a mentor, a speaker, and a volunteer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swetha B Chandran<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Swetha B Chandran has been working with WordPress since 2015. She is working at Midnay as a Product Lead. She is an active co-organiser of the WordPress Kerala Community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Workshop<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Hooks, Actions, and Filters are essential parts of WordPress. In this workshop, we will give a basic introduction to WordPress hooks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will be covering the following in this workshop. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– What are Hooks in WordPress
\n– Why we use Hooks in WordPress
\n– How to use Hooks Actions and Filters
\n– Practical Examples
\n– Commonly used Hooks<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note one or two people from our WordPress Kerala community will be assisting me in this workshop. Most probably Nebu and Shilpa. I have shared their WordPress profile URLs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
